well i admit i'm not very familiar with their full catalog, but i had them in the soft rock/lame pop category. doesn't seem to belong in a list of mostly metal/punk acts.

oh, and homosexuality gets canned heat canned, but that's not the reason for putting village people on the list?

They nailed Canned Heat (one of America's more benign bands) for "homosexuality" but got the Village People (a band whose entire act was a parody of gay stereotypes) for "violence"?

But I would have LOVED to been on the committee that made up this list. "Comrades, to properly denounce Ozzy Osbourne we're going to need a complete collection of his decadent, nekulturny, anti-socialist records."
