It seems that if you avoid four-letter words, you are usually safe, unless you have a large number of followers. Folks with a large following seem to be targeted more frequently by MAGAts and Russian trolls who send alerts to Twitter Jack.

8. There is a lot of toxic stuff going on at Twitter now.

Some nasty person reported you for some darn thing (I guess). I keep getting messages from followers that someone is posting under my name, but I can't find the perpetrator. I don't understand enough about the "insider" workings to figure things out. I changed my PW and settings, but something nefarious is still going on. I'm lying low for a few days!

9. from what i understand,

twitter can and does suspend accounts temporarily based on such things as
- some tweet of your may have tripped up an automated system that is meant to catch actual violations but, being an automated system, often catches completely innocent tweets as well; or
- someone complained about a tweet or your account; or
- they can restrict tweets are accounts if they don't like what's trending (that's right, they manipulate what's trending, in the name of preventing others from manipulating what's trending).

the good news is that it only takes about 12 hours to resolve incorrect account restrictions. the bad news is that they've restricted your account for only 12 hours anyway, lol.
