Just got back home from the hospital...

Had my prostate cancer surgery, it all went well.

None of the cancer is left.

Now I just have to heal up from all the slicing and dicing.

5. After I had a major surgery the home nurse encouraged

me to add about 80grams of protein a day as you will lose so much muscle mass due to healing. I got those protein powder and made lots of protein drinks. 80 grams a day was hard for me. Good luck with the healing! Glad you're well!

Dr Weil recommends a ton of Vitamin C which is great for healing tissue. I even had some in my drip during surgery and I healed so fast the nurses couldn't believe it.

20. Good news. Take the meds. I only give that advice cuz I tend to be "I don't need any meds" type

of person. But learned with surgeries over the last couple of years that taking the pain drugs actually helps with healing as you don't feel the pain so much and can actually do the stretches and exercises recommended by the doctor.
