Peet's is probably the best coffee you can buy whole beans at a supermarket. What I do now is go to a good local coffee shop (not Starbucks), order a cup of whatever sounds good, and if you like it, get a pound (whole beans, better, or have it ground). Don't get prepackaged. From the big bags they use. Usually fresher, and often cheaper, since markets often sell at much less than a pound, than you can get at a store.

But had been avoiding the flavor because it is so blond(light) I was concerned it had a low caffeine level but recently I learned light coffee might actually have more caffeine than dark so going for Kona as soon as my dark Italian roast runs out.

enjoy

I mean I don't know coffees, that well..and grew up drinking instant, but.. after grinding the beans to a fine powder, I put it in my coffee maker and it comes out some amazing! This is the kind of stuff you could add WHIPPED cream too, and cinnamon sticks and it won't drastically change the flavor.

The local Aldi (it prob was a mix) but they either discontinued it or it's being hoarded by someone like we know the white can Gridlock soda I like is. (On the plus side I'm now not drinking ANY soda but can't it, it was just one can once or twice a week.)

Anyway, my husband has been buying Folgers Simply Smooth instead which is 'meh' so I was just looking at what Amazon carries. Perhaps you could recommend a brand and/or a trusted online site. I've heard there's a lot of fake Kona out there.

I prefer low acid coffees, and I love blonde roast, or light roast depending.

If you have a WINCO near you they sell all their bulk coffee for $6.99 a pound. I have bought their Kona and it is good. I normally buy their breakfast blend. Excellent coffee for a great price.

My uncle was a career US Army man and at one point in time was a Major in the Reserves. He retired as a full Colonel in the reserves. His name was Henry Dickason Jr.

I think I am going to have to buy some next time I run across some; I found it here somewhere but can't remember where.
