I'd like to believe he thought the bit was a hoot.

8. Burt and Norm were on My Name is Earl playing father and son.

Big Chubby and Little Chubby, owners of Club Chubby. They both basically did a comical version of the 'Bandit-era Burt' personna.
Also, Burt was tight with Robert Urich who also did a good Burt impression so I think he was cool with all that.

3. I am going to admit something that doesn't reflect all that well on me

I was jealous of Burt.

He married Loni Anderson... and she was my "dream date" in the 1980s (along with Deborah Harry).

As it turns out, Loni probably wasn't that nice a person... and their marriage was probably a type of living hell... but I loved both her looks and the character she played on WKRP.

Anyway... shallow of me.

7. I was thinking of writing the same

after he died but didn't know whether that would have been appropriate. I recently watched many of the Turd Ferguson and Sean Connery bits of the SNL Jeopardy. Simply hilarious.
