So, a discussion at work today...

Ever wonder where Kylo and Gen Hux et al do their shopping?

I mean, is there like a First Order shop on the Death Star? Are the boots standard issue or do they have to supply their own?

I’m guessing Hux has a std general’s uniform but is he given a few and has to pay out of pocket for others?

...

And do you think they have.... Wedge salads in the cafeteria??

😉

Of course the Death Star has a post exchange (PX). It probably even has a food court. NightWatcher Sep 2018 #6

Truth is, I only saw the last Star Wars movie once, and the one before that, only once..

Now, if you had referenced Obi Wan Kinobi...or Luke..well I would have got it. But one of these last few..when you only see them once..well that is not enough..

Before there was video tape, and discs..I saw the original "Star Wars 4".. 7 times in the movie theaters..The Force Awakens..maybe 3 times in theater...and so on. I have the first 6 on disc or tape.. The last 3...oh well....

Disney will be coming out with one a year...forever..I will see about them..then........

An interesting point..I read the book of the first Star Wars film, before, yes before it opened in the theaters. It was a new paperback at the library, and I picked up and started. I was the first person to take that out and read it all in 2 or 3 days. So, when I went to the theater to see it..(about 10 days after it opened) in 1977, I knew what was going to happen.
... But the special sound was new then, and with that huge star ship going right across the screen in the very first Star Wars Film..I will not forget that..Also, I will not forget coming out of that theater with some friends feeling great after seen that first film. It had no name but.."Star Wars" The second one, I saw on the very first day it was out, and I walked out of the theater pissed as hell that thee was going to be another one..to end the series. That was because the 2nd one left you hanging, and I did not know ahead of time that it did that. And the third one..I thought settled everything. Then 12 or 13 years later..it started with the so called, "precules"..and and more and more and more.., and guess what? more and more. I read a bunch of the books with different adventures..but stopped that. There really isn't much of a lift from seeing them any more..and that is all for me.

...they don't have to shop. Pick out the stuff they want and have it sent to them...overnight, if they want to live.

As for the cafeteria, in the Attack of the Clones, they show a scene of the clones eating while Kenobi was inspecting them. I suspect the menu is designed for optimal military usage. Luke's meal in the Empire Strikes Back, strikes me as military on the battlefield rations. Probably high protein to satiate hunger longer...perhaps even advanced enough to repress the feelings of hunger. Probably a lot like the protein rations in "Firefly".

Out of normal "duty"...then you see more casual meals, Anakin on Naboo with Padmi enjoying a fruit breakfast, Kenobi in a diner on Coruscant in the deleted scenes from Attack of the Clones and Luke in the cantina at Mos Eisley....plus the last supper he had with his Aunt and Uncle.

If they want anything special I'm sure they can order it online and have it shipped via intergalactic transport and receive it when stores are brought aboard the Death Star.

Just like all the Navy bases I've been to seem to have a Subway restaurant, I wonder if any fast food chains have exclusive contracts with the First Order.

Those contractors knew what they were signing up for when they went to work their too.
