When does the unbearable pain and agony normally set in?

You know, for normal people who did not abuse their bodies and push the envelope for most of their lives.

I'll be 60 in a few weeks.

I merely cleaned out the shower drain and shower door track today.

Feels like I ran a marathon.

Messed up my knee and back. Cleaning a stupid drain.

Is this it? Is this the rest of my life? Old and decrepit from here on out? Constant groaning like a..you know...old guy? Hacking up a lung into a paper bag on a street corner at dawn? Not caring where I fart? Not caring that my shirt is hanging out of my open fly? YEAH YEAH I KNOW MY FLY IS OPEN. FUCK OFF. Get lost you old bastard! hahahahahahaha!!! Then the kids start throwing those pokey men at you, or whatever they are called?

Is this it?

Thank God I'm still good lookin'.

Don't bother replying. I'm too tired to read it. Especially don't bother replying if you're going to type... "I eat only healthy foods and exercise 5 hours a day. Cardio man, cardio, you gotta do it man. C'mon man, life is short, watch those carbs and monochloridehydrozide. Be careful man, be careful, life is short".

...am 6'2", weigh 250, don't smoke or drink, and--punchline!--haven't had medical insurance for most of my life. And, an occasional muscle pull nonwithstanding, I feel fine. Maybe I've been lucky, or whatever...but if I'm any indication, the next five years, anyway, should be smooth sailing for you...

like ibuprofen, and if not better soon, see doc; see doc regularly anyway.

I have all my hair in its original color, most of my teeth and weigh about the same as I did when I was 23. Eyes aren't the greatest but I can still see. A little hearing loss at high frequencies.

Oh wait, you are too tired to read this....

It's confirmed when you start losing body parts that are either replaced with metal and/or plastic or wind up in the medical waste containers.

and most of the time I'm more than fine. I can still touch my toes. (Yep, just checked. No problem there.)

However, I do have an occasional lower back problem from an injury I did when I was 25. Sometimes I will wake up in intense pain, but almost all the time it goes away within a half hour. A couple of weeks ago it didn't go away, got worse and worse for a few hours. I treated it with aspirin and a heating pad. It actually took several days for it to get better. Have no idea what triggered such an awful bout of pain.

Sounds like something similar happened to you. Somehow cleaning the shower drain and shower door track triggered something, maybe an old injury or just your body experimenting with torturing you. (That's intended to be slightly funny.) My guess is, knowing nothing about you, is that you simply did a bit more than usual, and bent or twisted your body in ways you don't normally do. Take some aspirin or ibuprofen or whatever works for you, take it easy, and hope for the best.

I sincerely doubt this is a permanent thing. You're not going to spend the rest of your life in agony. But you will probably have occasional delights like this occur.

It's not fun, I know.

Been diagnosed so far with osteoarthritis and neuropothy and live on pills. The pills do deaden the pain some but its still always there. When it gets bad enough you will know, go see the doctor, and the doc will give you some things that help deaden the pain, hopefully. I still get around by myself, but not making any bets on how much longer, given that you can wake up anytime with a a brand new pain to add to your others. Doggie misses our walks but I throw him balls to chase so he still gets exercise. Good luck to you.
