"Armed police swoop on bank but turns out employees were just playing hide and seek"

Armed police who rushed to a bank following reports of a robbery were shocked to discover staff who were cowering under their desks were just playing Hide and Seek. Emergency services were called by a concerned member of the public who spotted workers hiding inside a branch of Natwest at 9.50am this morning. Firearms officers descended on the scene on Colmore Row in Birmingham city centre in a bid to intercept the robbers. But they were stunned when embarrassed workers admitted they were hiding around the office during a game of hide and seek as part of a team building exercise.

Show up half the time. I had three false alarms while a banker and I didn't pick up happy vibes from the officers who lost hours of their lives staking out the parking lot when it was just my damn knee bumping the alarm again

Got sick of the false alarms from the cleaning people, the dog or the neighbor letting the dog out.

I was more embarrassed at how seriously the cops take the alarms. I got home one time and an unmarked was in the parking lot across the alley. He told me sometimes the bad guys will set off the alarm and come back after the cops leave.

A copper buddy of mine tells me that catching someone “on scene” is a big feather in their cap so they make a big deal out of it.

Here is my most recent white privilege story: a couple weeks ago my new neighbor’s alarm went off so he texted me. I went over to check while he silenced it remotely. As I was leaving, a Chicago cop showed up at the back gate. I told the cop I was the neighbor and he took my word for it and left. I’m thinking of taking up a life of crime.
