for identification. But, I found a good match.
It belongs to a dingo.
Could also be a lion or a monkey.

(12,132 posts)we've had little red foxes, squirrels, possums, cats and one big honkin' moth set off our Ring.
My wife is sorely disappointed that she hasn't seen a bear yet. a little one. She has no interest in a big momma bear. But baby bears are welcome lol.

(46,713 posts)We don't have foxes, though many, many years ago, when I walked my dog at night, I did see a tawny creature move catlike in the dark. Crossed the street and sat and watched us from the trees. My dog was the same color and I wonder if the animal thought it might be something it could play with. I remember it as catlike in the body and doglike in the head and upright ears, maybe foxlike in the head- though it would have been larger than a fox. I just whistled my dog back and calmly walked back.
Never sure what it was I saw.

(46,713 posts)When my dad came to visit, years ago, he would get up early in the morning to walk to 7-11 to eat his bear claw while he read the NYT. (The store only had two available each morning, and when he came to visit, they would increase the number to three.) Anyways, on his way back he saw another old man on the edge of the wooded area by the bridge and he went up to him to ask if he needed help. The old man looked away and waved him off, angrily.
My dad figured he was taking a dump.
