I work in recruiting for manufacturers. I got a call today from one of my companies stating that they were very upset that one of the people we hired for them back in March had to quit because he is going to prison. I sent her an email back stating the fact that first of all they never required a background check for people we send to them. And second, even if we had, pending charges would not come up in that.
I received an email back berating me that it was all our fault because we should have sent them better people. Um we can't background check people if we aren't given consent. I sent her an email back stating our policy to which she replied again we are supposed to send them only good quality candidates. Gaslighting at its finest.
