At the first follow-up, I told the surgeon that I had intermittent awareness of what was going on during the surgery - no pain - just awareness. (I remember trying to count stitches.)
The surgeon was skeptical until I recounted a conversation between the docs during the surgery.

I woke up while intubated and spit out the tube and started singing, "If I had a hammer...."
Fortunately, the surgery was over and they had just stopped the anesthesia.

I don't recall singing and the surgeon did not report any singing.
Interesting choice of tunes. I bet you freaked-out the docs.
