8. You're more than welcome

I have his autobiography ("A Full Life: Reflections at 90" ) on audio disc (read by the author ) and have listened to it numerous times when I've had to drive any distance. He really has lived a fascinating life - so far...

7. Had to look up Norman Lloyd. What's with Orson Bean?

I don't get it. Just saw him in Equalizer 2.

Funny friends of mine asked about LaRouche just a few weeks ago. None of knew he was still alive. His followers were regular outside the DMV where we all grew up.

9. Orson Bean, father-in-law of late Breitbart

According to an article on him, he is a regular on Dennis Miller's crappy show.
Bean considers himself to have been Breitbart's mentor

12. Orson Bean is the son of a founder of the ACLU.

Bean was also on the Hollywood blacklist for attending Communist Party meetings in the 1950s, though he managed to keep working in television. One of his daughters was married to Andrew Breitbart.

I'm not sure that any of us can be condemned (or praised!) for our family connections.

16. No he flipped

I researched this after rpannier replied to my question.

Several articles but there's one from Breitbart (won't post link) with Bean going on about how be a conservative in Hollywood today is worse than when he was blacklisted.

Orson Bean vitriol - will get you there.

Susie Bean Breitbart was born in 1968, the daughter of Orson Bean, a prolific character actor and sometime stand-in for Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show. Appalled by the anti-communist fervor of his formative years in Hollywood, Bean later veered toward libertarian and conservative ideals. He is part of a loose group of right-wingers, including actor Jon Voight, which has gathered in L.A. over the years under different guises (Friends of Abe, The Geniuses, The Morons) like a sort-of Conservatives Anonymous.

11. I used to get calls from the LaRouche people

And it was tough to disagree the argument they presented, they said that Bush* needed to go, but Cheney was worse and needed to go first. However, when I took one of those "Which Candidate Is for You?" tests, LaRouche came in dead last for me - even after Bush* and Cheney...

13. Beverly Cleary 102 years old!

When I was a child, I LOVED her books! I remember being upset when I wanted to get another B. Cleary book from the library and my mom told me that I had read them all.

15. You left out Freeman Dyson, 96. I spent an afternoon with him about 5 or 6 years ago.

His mind was, as always, incredible.

There was no subject I could bring up, not one, that he didn't understand profoundly.

26. We all know Rita Moreno is still alive, but did you know she's 87?

She's in Netflix's One Day at Time.

She's in very good shape physically and looks young!

Her hair is naturally gray. I tend to think that her hair on the show is a wig as opposed to dyed. Of course, her physique is 100% natural and lends to her youthful appearance!
