I have his autobiography ("A Full Life: Reflections at 90" ) on audio disc (read by the author ) and have listened to it numerous times when I've had to drive any distance. He really has lived a fascinating life - so far...

Funny friends of mine asked about LaRouche just a few weeks ago. None of knew he was still alive. His followers were regular outside the DMV where we all grew up.

Bean was also on the Hollywood blacklist for attending Communist Party meetings in the 1950s, though he managed to keep working in television. One of his daughters was married to Andrew Breitbart.

I'm not sure that any of us can be condemned (or praised!) for our family connections.

Several articles but there's one from Breitbart (won't post link) with Bean going on about how be a conservative in Hollywood today is worse than when he was blacklisted.

When I was a child, I LOVED her books! I remember being upset when I wanted to get another B. Cleary book from the library and my mom told me that I had read them all.

She's in Netflix's One Day at Time.

She's in very good shape physically and looks young!

Her hair is naturally gray. I tend to think that her hair on the show is a wig as opposed to dyed. Of course, her physique is 100% natural and lends to her youthful appearance!
