Honestly, I couldn't think of better company right now. Any other people who will be spending valentines day with a furry loved one instead of a boyfriend/girlfriend? Pictures of your adorable cat, dog, bunny, turtle, etc would be welcome.
Here are my cats when they were kittens. They were both rescue kittens that were living on the streets. They were found in separate places and are probably not related.

(2,953 posts)I have not received a valentine card nor gift from spouse in most of those years, nor do I care. It is an artificial holiday.
Your cats are most likely better company. 💕💕
Because we have two homes from Utah to North Carolina, and hubby spends a good bit of time in NC, I am very used to being alone, except with my dog.

They're mostly a nuisance. Instead I will be spending a comfortable Valentine's Day with three cats and Netflix.
Here they are:
Jeoffrey and Pixie watching me in the bathroom, in accordance with Cat Rule #273, "No human may occupy a bathroom unless accompanied by at least one cat."

Perhaps not. Cats and Netflix are a great combination.
Your cats are really cute. My cat used to freak out if I tried to go into the bathroom without him. There must be invisible monsters in the bathroom of every cat household.

(906 posts)I know how you feel we had a big fluffy grey kitty Moses. He was the best cat not afraid of anything so relaxed, didnt meow, would run out and meet me at my car so many things
Been gone a few years now and I still miss him and wish I could find another just like him. That is why we got Tuey in her pic she had the look in her eyes I could resist. Brought her home well she liked hubby better than me and shes nothing like Moe shes uppity!

(11,802 posts)I know how you feel. Steviewonder is a total mama's boy.
I was allergic to cats n dogs as a kid. I had some fish, but ya know, kinda hard to cuddle with. So I moved in with the amazing Mrs. glam at 23 and she had to have a cat. I was still allergic but wrapped around her finger so I relented. Turned out, I could be in the same apartment. Just couldn't touch her. Few years later I'm good. My immune system put up instead of shut up, dig? No more allergy. So we decide to get a second. A buddy of mine has a litter of kittens he needs to unload. We picked out a Russian Blue. Straight grey. No coloring at all. Called him Squeeker because of his little kitten squeeks. Yeah, I know. Not very imaginative. But it so fit.
He and I clicked. He loved his mama, but I was his person. He and I were on a whole other level than the Mrs. and him. He was my cat. Period. And a cooler cat the world has never seen. He drank beer off mama's fingers. When I packed a bowl he was in my face. Im not making this up. Hed get in my face until i blew some his way. One time, he got into a glass of Southern Comfort i had in my lap. I was watching TV. He walked up and sniffed and looked up at me. I didn't think nothing of it. I'm watching TV and I realize I hear him lapping out of my glass! Whoa dude! That's not for you! That's not good for you dude, as I yank it away. Needless to say, I had a hammered little kitty. He was thee party animal.
He was my best friend. He greeted me at the door every day and had to be knee deep in whatever I was doing. I loved him like nothing else (besides mrs. Glam).
At 4 years old, he died. He had a heart condition. It never stopped growing. As the heart muscles thickened, the cavities got smaller, causing the heart to work harder and harder until it failed. We drove him 2.5 hours to a feline heart specialist at Purdue University. Dropped him off and wandered the campus. Came back a few hours later. Doc walks in and says, "your cat has the largest heart I've ever seen." Nuff said. We took him home just crushed. Knowing we had weeks left with him.
A couple weeks later, got home from work and found him dead. Where I sit on the couch. I was destroyed, and I still miss him. Greatest cat ever.

(11,802 posts)You can see his story in this thread. Our vet had a litter of em. She went to pick one out and came home with Steviewonder and The Beans. Best decision ever! I highly recommend getting two litter mates. I don't think we watched TV for three months. Their antics were so entertaining.
