6. My youngest daughter did her first century two years ago.

Last September she and her husband cycled from Barcelona to Florence in 12 days (then took the train from Florence to meet us in Rome).

She is a young professional woman with a very high stress job. She has a 14 mile route that she rides most evenings after work (if she gets off on time).

Nothing like the accomplishments of the women you posted, but I was proud of her for choosing the path of physical fitness to, in part, deal with the stresses of work (and her bicycle face is every bit as nice as the ladies you posted).

She married into a mildly fanatical biking family. Her father-in-law does a century every year on his birthday (he will be 65 this year).
