The Force Awakens was exactly what was needed at the time, but you can't characterize that movie as being anything more than an homage to the fans. It was enjoyable as hell, but took almost no risks. The Last Jedi, in addition to being visually stunning, broke so many of the old tropes and put the franchise in a position to go in so many new directions.

sits just above Attack of the Clones and just below The Clone Wars movie on the list of Star Wars movies.

I'm done with Star Wars, and I was a huge fan from the very, very beginning.

I have a BB-8 toy that I won in a bingo game. It's cute and is amusing to play with when the grandkids are over. That will be my sole interaction with the franchise from here on out.

with, "Luke, I am your father." Oh and freezing Han instead of killing him was pretty effing lame too.

Up until then, we had another Hero with a Thousand Faces. After that we had nothing but Hollywood.

I've watched it a bunch of times... Same chills I had when I was in sixth grade in 1977.

If Disney had not bought out Lucasfilm, it would've been great to see the "Legacy" comic books brought to the big screen.

Mostly because they tried to make an actual adventure movie and not just string together a bunch of callbacks and fan service with no discernible plot.
