stupidly lose his fortune, only to have another one show up miraculously to prevent him from ever having to be poor and to work for a living.

The WW1 Years got my husband hooked on Downton. He watches every rerun with me.

So, yes, lets keep going. I would love to see Edith be happy for an episode or two.

We can age up the kids and send them off to war.

PS. But not any more misery for Bates and Anna.
Anna was such a buzzkill toward the end.
Let them be the happy stable couple

A sometimes scoundrel who was often his own worst enemy, I did feel pity for him though as the underdog against the world and always thought he had the makings of a top notch head butler.
