Today is Pie with a Y Day

Today when referring to any sort of dish with a crust and contents that is baked, cheese, chicken, beef, veggies, shepherd's, shepherdess's, apple, cherry, berry, fish and finger, or anything else, you must spell Py, Py.

This is to honor George Villiers, the Duke of Buckingham's immortal criticism of The Conquest of Granada by John Dryden

"A Py a Pudding, a Pudding a Py,
A Py for me and a Pudding for thee,
A Pudding for me and a Py for thee,
And a Pudding-Py for me and thee."

1. Pies always look so yummy, smell so yummy, and there are so many varieties...

But, (perhaps, thankfully), I've never really acquired a great desire to eat them. Not that I'm virtuous otherwise. Maybe I should bake them, though, since I'd be unlikely to eat them.
