Have you ever just loved your children it hurts

Got off work as union truck driver, I just hugged our sons their both fifteen. I love them as I cookout on grill , I kiss em on cheek and say I love you give dad a hug even though at fifteen it’s a half ass hug from our boys . I do the same with our daughters who grown up now. But I always let our children know I love you all so much so deep and hard.

My wife and I put three daughters thru college no student debt and we want to do same with our sons. I told our daughters be like your mom educated college, I tell our sons same today. Get a higher education like your sisters or your mom.

Couldn't restrain myself, the other day, from giving my forty-some-year-old "little girl" a big hug and telling her how very much I love her and how proud I am of what a wonderful person she is.

appreciatively,
Bright

Not really too much. I just feel their emotions like they're my own. I don't even need to talk to them necessarily to know if one is having a hard time. And I carry their pain around with me until things are better. When two of them or all three are having difficult moments at the same time it can feel pretty overwhelming. But I experience their happinesses too. And when they're excited or nervous. So, yes, I love them so much it hurts at times. But it can be joyous too!

My middle son is being sent to California for 3 days on a work assignment today, and it's his first time on an airplane. I hugged him hard yesterday when he left and made sure I told him I loved him.

The other two gave me sorta "oh, Mom" hugs. But's that's still OK. ....
