sometimes means across some road where cars scare off the raccoons. Then if course the babies who don't fly have to walk back to shore across and through human hazzards. Good on ya people. Go ducks. My dad lives on an island in the middle of a river in a nursing home. Last year i saw a raccoon on the island in the spring. Sure thing there were fewer baby ducks at the dock we feed the birds from last summer. Hoping we have more this year as they are cute and darned nervy when it comes to bossing the older ducks around when we throw cracked corn at them. Fun to watch.

Thank you to the brave people who helped to rescue them!
I'm so glad the ducklings are back with mom and dad again! They are so cute!
