(66,328 posts)Be careful; the WSP is out in force snagging people for speeding. I saw maybe five or six cars & trucks get pulled over. I think the rural areas of Washington are being hurt by Trump's trade policies, and are making up the lack of income any way they can.
Drive safe...

(15,807 posts)Dh and I stayed there last year. My niece was getting married. Our two kids flew/drove in for the wedding and my mom and her husband drove in too.
Dh and I reserved three rooms- one for us, one for our kids and one for my mom and her Dh. Dh and I showed up first then our kids. When our kids arrived, we went down to get keys to their room and let the front desk know that my mom would arrive in another two hours and please give her the keys to the third room.
The four of us went to some pre-wedding dinner and then got back to the hotel. I opened the door to our hotel room and there was.crap.everywhere. Theyd given my mom the keys to our room, and she had moved her eleventy billion bags into our room. Im like- wtf? They thought wed share our room with one king bed with two other adults???
Anyway, my fav hotel in Spokane. Try the restaurant in the old part of the hotel (assuming youre in the nice new part). The old one is kitty corner.

(66,328 posts)I had a cheeseburger sent up to my room. I didn't feel like sitting in a dining room alone, even though I have a book to read.

(149,611 posts)Ah, continuing education--I remember having to do that.
But when I retired, I let my RN license go. Never regretted it. But you're still young and need to work.........And your patients need you!
I hope your classes are interesting and worth-while.
Enjoy your drinks!

(66,328 posts)Are you drinking a Pilsner? Czech is the best!...
peacebuzzard
(5,170 posts)I would vacay in Czech just to check out the Pilsners more closely.
The northeast of Brazil has a pilsner they make which comes close.
I travel to Brazil tomorrow, but will not be able to enjoy, I'll be working ....
Aristus

(5,170 posts)and I will not be able to relax like tonight for probably 2 weeks or so.......
I still have to do my taxes next week and travel to Santa Fe to make sure my sisters are ok.
now that is a lovely place, Santa Fe...
wish I had more time to spend in New Mexico next week. but it will be another quick trip....
Aristus
(66,328 posts)Are your sisters all right?
peacebuzzard
(5,170 posts)I think that is the best wish for anyone is to stay safe.
the sisters are ok. they are lucky to live in santa fe.
That is perhaps the place I would choose to live if I did not have to depend on airports.
for now, I need airports....
take care, its east coast here so one last pilsner and I am done .... maybe will have another break in 3 weeks or so...
safe travels....

(15,807 posts)Im sure itll feel so much better tomorrow. They pulled 60 mL of fluid out of it.
Aristus
(66,328 posts)Are they sending a specimen out for culture?
Arthritis. They are doing a three week regimen of pulling fluid out (if any exists) and replacing it with an artificial fluid that will hopefully provide cushioning. So today was a net -57 mL of fluid. The PA said that the results are usually a bit wishy-washy but some folks apparently find relief with this treatment. And the brace.
Im looking forward to hiking this weekend. Dont really care if next week sucks. I know Ill be able to move soooo much better tomorrow or Friday!
Aristus
(66,328 posts)Last I heard, it was pretty expensive.
Hope it works and you can go hiking this weekend!

(112,161 posts)I'm going to my college homecoming this weekend so I won't be available for the Friday Night Wine Buzz.
The good news is that I found my favorite beer at the store. I hadn't had any in over five years so it was a pleasant reunion. I didn't see it the first time I went to the grocery store since they had changed the labels.
Raspberry wheat beer from Abita Springs, Louisiana. I usually muddle some raspberries since it makes a great combination and it also gives the beer a bit more of a head after it is poured.
