Old Time Radio for Halloween - Orson Welles "War Of The World"

Most of you have heard the stories about this show some 81 years ago on October 30,1938. The legend is that this broadcast caused a wide spread panic. Many of those stories are thought to be overhyped.

This is the original broadcast, therefore it may be scratchy. 60 minutes long:

But not the widespread panic that had been reported. It was reported by the newspapers, who were trying to take down the upstart communications medium of radio, which was cutting into their profits.
