(66,446 posts)Boneless chicken breasts marinated in white wine, lime juice, garlic, and whatever seasonings occur to me or I have available within reach.
Grilled to perfection while basted with more white wine and lime juice on a bed of rosemary, then served with rice and red beans, steamed vegetables, and slices of fresh melon.
Shots of rum to whet the appetite. Then a chilled dry white wine served with the entrée.
Then fried plantains with cinnamon and syrup for dessert.

(25,183 posts)I do it all year long. Ms. Customerservicegal likes the fact that I do all of the cooking, dishes, and laundry, she says I'm the best wife she ever had.
Tonight, something light, because we're going to a hibachi place for their lunch special. Last night, it was "clean out the freezer" time, and we had cheeseburgers and corn on the cob.

That said it's been a big day and there is football on tonight so will keep it simple.
Kids will have something early on the going to do steak, eggs and chips with a pepper sauce for us.

Once in awhile I wish I could decide what to eat, but the tradeoff is well worth it
