Why do Vimeo videos often not work on my computer?

I'm on a Mac, and they often don't load properly, so even when they're at 100% they play in stop-motion.

I've tried on Chrome and Safari.

2. I am also on a Mac and frequently have problems

loading Vimeo videos. I am using Safari and have Comcast cable, so it is not slow loading. My computer is a 2009 model Mac Mini. Could be that Macs do not like Vimeo.
