I'm remembering the time my aunt, cousin and I picked 376 ears of corn, shucked them, cut the kernels off, and canned them in jars. It took forever!!! We then split the jars among us. Well, those days are over and I only can a bit of jam in the summer. But, this method for corn would be great for those ears for dinner. Thanks for posting this.

Why kernels no get overcooked? Are they fully cooked at that point? I've never cooked an ear of corn in the microwave before.
