(35,793 posts)Did you notice that the dog put all the bulbs in one spot and the hooman did not insult the dog's esthetics by moving them around?
On a similar subject (animals helping hoomans), I had a cat who would get up early to go with me to the garden to pick slugs off the plants. I would wear gloves and brush them off into a paper cup of soapy water. One morning we went up and picked off the slugs and I returned to bed. The kitty had her own door out to the garden. I later awoke to see a slug crawling across my white sheets toward me; a very satisfied looking little kitty was at the end of the bed. If she could talk, she would have said, "You missed one but I gotcha' covered!"

(14,628 posts)When I first moved to New Orleans I rented an apartment in an old, historic building that had been renovated. My kitty brought me a live roach in the middle of the night. She caught it in her mouth and brought it on the bed. Thank Dog I was half awake at the time. Although it was dark, I could tell something was up by the way she was batting at it with her paw. Crazy cat!
