the coffee is poured?

2. Tempering issues avoided, especially if cup is pre-heated with hot water.

(10,749 posts)Once and for all, eh?
What if I do both? Am I doing that wrong? Should I choose one and stick to it? If I do that, then I might be doing it wrong. At least by doing it both ways, I'm only wrong half the time.
Thank you very much.

(34,136 posts)If dispensing coffee from a container at a store, before. That mixes the creamer or milk better than the stupid stirring sticks they give you.
If having coffee at home or in a restaurant where I have a spoon to properly stir everything together, I add stuff after they deliver my coffee.

(7,319 posts)It's all about acidity and PH balance. If they were equal amounts then it wouldn't matter much, but a little cream would be overwhelmed trying to mix.

(22,267 posts)and I may be crazy but I think the cream blends better in the coffee and it makes it taste better. I discovered this in Spain many years ago. When a waiter pours coffee, and asks if you want 'leche', if you do the cream always goes in first, then the coffee.
So that's what I do, but I can't always do that when I am out eating.

oh, and also, which direction you stir it makes a total difference too. Fact!

(23,253 posts)Not at my house. Nor sugar. Nor any of that other fancy-dancy sh*t. There is no place in the world of Coffee for weaklings.
And we cut our Coffee into small slices and chew it with our mouths closed.
