In contrast, SARS and COVID, both corona-viruses like the virus that causes MERS appear to infect men and women in near equal numbers. Why were women able to resist MERS? Take a look at the pic below.
Add some glasses and you have got some pretty awesome protective gear. Much better than that offered at the clinic where I work.
I say to hell with hand sanitizer! What this nation needs is burkas for everyone!

... fatalities are higher for men with all of them. The best explanation is the Cytokine Storm reactiona hyperactive immune response that causes the victims immune system to kill the victim. More here:

I just know that the info coming from Doctors and also the data on deaths, show that approx 70+% of cases and deaths are primarily men.
When I had Stage 3 Melanoma, I discovered the mortality rate was an average and when you looked at women split out, the mortality rate was far less than men. Strangely, 75% of Melanoma on women is on their lower leg (where mine was) and this is further distance away from vital organs and lymph nodes.
Men on the other hand had it primarily on their Torso and thus closer to the major lymph nodes and vital organs.
The Sexes are NOT Equal.
And the COVID-19 apparently has a higher fatality rate for men.
