Years ago my friend went on a vacation and I fed her cat while she was gone. She left a window open and the cat disappeared. I saw him in the yard and got him back into the house. When I arrived the next morning, I noticed the living room was torn up and the cat toys had been shredded. It wasn't her cat. I put him outside and her cat didn't return home until she did - like the minute she got home.

Some years back I had a cat that was allowed out doors.

There was a neighborhood cat who looked a lot like mine, and more than once I tried to get that other cat to come inside. Luckily, he wasn't having any part of that.
