I feel guilty praying for help now when my probs are so minor compared to most peoples. And you?
This is obviously directed to those who pray, at least sometime

1. Don't feel guilty. I'm sure you're getting just as much help for yourself
by not praying as you do by praying.
Things have a way of working out. |

2. Since you pray, I assume that you believe in a deity as an omnipotent and omniscient being.
That being the case, you don't need to worry about His/Her/Its bandwidth. That kind of deity can handle anything anyone throws at Him/Her/It, in any quantity, any time, all the time. Major, minor, picayune... it doesn't matter, it's all a drop in the bucket.

4. The airplane thing about oxygen masks: you have to be sure you are together before you can
help others. You could also follow the Buddhists' lead (I'm not a Buddhist) and pray in concentric circles outward -- for you -- for your community -- for your country -- for the world -- for the universe ... etc
Have you followed Caroline Myss on prayer? |

5. Pray for the strength to cope,
and if you can, help others as well.
