serve doing?

4. We ended the week on an extremely busy, but high note.
We did some good work, we weren't snapping at each other this time, and all of our patients were nice.
It's time to hit the (three-day) weekend! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

10. Happy Friday
Ive been sewing masks and giving them to my little city hall to give out for free.
Ran out of elastic and cannot find any online. Question: if I take the elastic off of a used paper mask, would it be ok to recycle if I washed the elastic in a pillow case? |

11. I think so.
Thank you for making masks for everyone. It makes me feel good to see people helping out in lots of ways.
It's a nice break from the gun-totin', spit-sprayin' Freedumb types... |

12. Ive got 35 ready for elastic
Thank you for being on the front end of it!
Ive been taking donations of fabric and someone gave me a few yards of camo material. Im hoping I can get some of the local "tough" guys to wear them. Sometimes people leave me a tip/donation so Ive been putting that $ in a jar. Im going to donate it to the food bank. It keeps me busy and I like helping folks out when I can. Heaven knows Ive relied on the generosity of strangers many times in my life. Have a nice, relaxing weekend. Cheers. ![]() |

13. You too.
A member of my integrated health team made the mask I wear. (I wear an N-95 for at-risk patient visits) The cloth has a snowflake pattern on it.

14. Thought I missed you tonight
always look for you on Friday nights. On my third glass of red wine....not into white wine.
Sorry you had such a stressful week. My life is pure boredom....watch tv, read my Kindle mysteries, off and on DU several times a day. But I am still covid-19 free and for that I am thankful. I have a 24/7 caregiver who runs errands for me as I am disabled. I have a roof over my head, utilities paid, food in my tummy, cigarettes and wine (and no scolding over the cigarettes). At 79 wine and cigarettes are my joys in life. Please take care of yourself and others around you. Love you too! ![]() |

16. Me too
Lots of problems at work. We fixed them all. So I'm relaxing with beer on Friday. Right now it's a bottle conditioned bitter, the closest thing I can get to a cask conditioned bitter.

21. Stressful week for me, too, and no wine; can't drink it right now because I'm dieting.
Lost one of my cats suddenly last Saturday to an aortic thromboembolism, and another cat was diagnosed with an adenocarcinoma of the nasal cavity. Not sure how much longer he'll be here.
So I'm seriously bummed; I love my kitties more than most of the humans I know. I have to say I was really impressed with the quality of their veterinary care and the compassion of the clinic staff - I got a report from the vet that was as thorough as if for a human. I have the greatest respect for health care workers regardless of the species of their patients. So hang in there. You're appreciated. This is the DU member formerly known as The Velveteen Ocelot.

If you're going to experiment with Tang as a mixer, better to do it with the lower-shelf stuff...
