A woman of a thousand words must include a song.

I love all the bridges in the Bay Area!

When I lived there I always gave my guests a day long tour of the Bay Area. From Oakland I drove across the Bay Bridge to San Francisco and drove around to the tourist spots and stopped for lunch at the Waterfront. Then I would drive across the Golden Gate Bridge to show them Marin and Tiburon. Then head north to the Carquinez Bridge back across the Bay and drove to UC Berkeley and circumnavigate it then up the hill to the Lawrence Museum of Science. From there you can see the entire Bay Area so they could see where they had been all day. It was spectacular. My guests loved it!

The sound, that is. Very eerie. I tried to walk across the bridge once when I lived there and didn't even get halfway across. I thought I was going to throw up. I don't like heights and the traffic was making me feel dizzy. I didn't feel safe at all.
