Anyone here ever collect Garbage Pail Kid cards?

I loved those things but my mother would never let me buy them. Since they were stickers, you'd see them on friend's bookcovers and notebooks. It was an 80s thing.

I guess someone made one for Sarah Palin too....

Of course, all the grownups wanted them banned because they were so "negative."

My sister had to go on an expedition to buy Cabbage Patch doll for her daughter, which I thought was dumb because she had a baby brother at the time!

is being in third grade and there was a convenience store on my way home from school. My friends and I would stop in nearly every day to get a pack or two and look at the wrestling magazines. This was before my dad told me the truth about wrestling. We would marvel at the pictures of Fritz Von Erich giving some poor sap the Iron Claw and and we were just dumbfounded how he could get away with that. There he was right there squeezing the brains of some schmoe's head and nobody is stopping him! You could see the blood so we knew it was real.

and then we'd get the wacky packages and laugh all the way home. I wish I had been smart enough to save some of that stuff.
