the Antifa attacks on white suburban neighborhoods that some doofus on my Neighbors web site warned us about 3 days ago! Said he saw on social media that Antifa had planned to commit heinous crimes over the July 4 weekend in white neighborhoods such as arson, vandalism, rape, and murder! And that the police had been informed about this!
*Whew* glad nothing happened....

My sister called me yesterday from southern CA to ask if -45 really has a plan to shut down everyone everywhere indefinitely next week because it was posted on her Neighborhood site. I told her that was a new one on me and that it's highly unlikely considering his attitude on the virus.

(23,280 posts)He was with them when they hit Anzio, Italy in 1944, and later when they invaded the Ruhr Valley. He posted in Berlin to help Antifa there until he got called home in 1946. He didn't like fascists at home in America, either. Neither do I.

My dad was in The Bulge and nearly lost his feet to frostbite. As the ranking member of his unit (corporal) he had to lead them through the snow stringing signal wire. He was awarded a Bronze Star. My mother was super Antifa and raised me that way.

(1,184 posts)I recall a month ago during the height of the George Floyd protests, one of my (dear, sweet, amazing, supportive) conservative family members told my wife and me over the phone that she'd heard that the protesters were going to start targeting residential neighborhoods. Nonsensical in the first place, but this particular person lives in a rural, remote area that no one would be interested in.
I'd forgotten all about that. Thanks for the laugh
