a dream

I was at a hotel, during a big convention that I was a part of, and there was a raging thunderstorm. Or maybe it was a hurricane. I think it was a hurricane. My hotel room had a glass wall with a door in it that opened into a huge atrium 20 stories down. Outside my atrium door was a huge potted palm, and in the hurricane it crashed into my glass wall and splintered it into a billion pieces. I was unhurt but my friend's young children (who are now 30 and 27) were scared to death. We all huddled under my bed and I sang the Winnie the Pooh song to them. The daughter of another friend, now 19, helped me to care for the youngsters. A truck came around to see who had broken curfew, and the spotlight passed over us but we weren't discovered.

What the . . . ?
