(11,584 posts)Season 5 part 2 is yet to drop as well.
We've saved the last episode (Season 5 part 1 finale) for this weekend so I am looking forward to it being fun as you said. I always hate the end of something I enjoyed--books, too.
LizBeth
(9,952 posts)season. Finger crossed It was suppose to be over like season three. So glad they kept it going.

(60,010 posts)movie...documentary, actually. Operation Odessa. A real life crime caper, involving a drug lord who wanted
a submarine, and the guys who set out to get it for him.
one of the funniest things i have seen this year.
Series: Occupied. Norwegian series, with engaging characters, great acting. Much like Borgen, has a
political plot.
malaise
(269,004 posts)Hilarious - silly as hell but reminded me of the old clueless investigators.
Will watch those

The Velveteen Ocelot
(115,693 posts)Great political series about the Russians sneakily taking over Norway's oil production; the premise is that after a devastating hurricane in Norway caused by climate change, the Prime Minister announces that they are shutting down their oil production and turning to new thorium reactors. The EU freaks out; the Russians move in to be sure the oil keeps coming; the American ambassador (the US no longer belongs to NATO) is a backstabber; and the PM, who looked like a milquetoast, turns totally badass. There are domestic terrorists (or freedom fighters, depending on your perspective), sex and violence, and moral ambiguity. It's a great series.

Brother Buzz
(36,434 posts)An improbable, but true story of Bing Russell (father of Kurt Russell) and his ownership of the minor league ball club, the Portland Mavericks. Hollywood movie stars, black-balled Yankee pitcher, future witness protection program ball player, a LEFT handed catcher, and a bat boy (Todd Field) who went on to become a film maker.
Oh, and Big League Chew was conceived in the Mavericks bullpen.

Whatever you think of the British monarchy, The Crown was interesting.
Some of my ancestors, and my wife's ancestors, made it to America before the English could hang them. There's no monarchists in our families.
The Crown may also be the most expensive anti-smoking commercial ever made.
We are currently watching Schitt's Creek.
