of eating is really working. And I was thinking - I started eating more after I quit smoking. So getting over food is really the tail end of my quitting smoking, 4 years ago.

it helps to remember that it will still be there later, or tomorrow... putting it off sometimes turns into not eating it at all.
Also, sometimes a bite or small piece satisfies, and the rest goes into a little plastic container for the next time I want a bite.
I'm happy for you that you quit smoking and are also eating in a more conscious way.

I quit 4 years ago as well. I try not to have snacks in the house, I love potato chips, but if I do have a snack I measure it into a bowl so I don't eat the whole bag. I'm glad your diet is working.
