I think it was the first, or maybe second, home my wife and I rented when I was 19.

We moved back to our Waldon about 25 years ago and it was everything that we dreamed about. My next move will be into a pine box.

A developer bought up the land all around me and now a dozen new houses go up every year.

The days are filled with the sounds of construction.

The best laid plans...

It was a fetid cow sewer in 105 degree weather. And around here that means brain eating amoebas.
No toilets.
No shelter. (Cabins were locked)

Of course, he had to bring his mother. My daughter fell in the pond, and I hosed her down. Daughter starts crying. Mother in law says: "You're just like your mom, complaining all the time"...My mother in law grew up without plumbing, so she could care less.
