Does anyone know if the South Korean detective show, "The Signal" is available

with English dubbing? I'm watching the Netflix version and I'm half way through the 16 episode series, but there's alot back and forth between the two time periods and sometimes it's difficult to follow.

Or has been redone in an english speaking country? Though implausible, I like the way the fictional cold case team weaves through four criminal cases in South Korea that actually occurred, and how the story builds around solving those crimes with a radio that connects the past with the present.

The other South Korean gem is the zombie movie called, "Alive." It has been redone in English and is called, "Alone." I heard that the South Korean one has more to say about viruses such as Covid 19, while the American version is more...wait for it...action based, but still good.

and is available streaming on Netflix.

I simply Googled "Where can I watch the Signal" and got a movie with that title, so I added Korea and up it popped. I love the internet.

I'm halfway through it, but there's a lot of back and forth between the two time periods and it's hard to keep up. I've had to watch some episodes twice and even read episode recaps. I was hoping someone had more information.

I was hoping for something easier to follow for a 16 episode series.

In 2016, NYPD Detective Raimy Sullivan discovers that she is able to speak to her deceased father Frank Sullivan in 1996 via his old ham radio. Her attempts to save his life trigger the "butterfly effect", changing the present in unforeseen ways. To fix the damage, she must work with her father across time to solve a decades-old murder case.

I know this isn't what you're looking for, but just thought it was interesting an American and S Korean TV series were introduced the same year with very similar plotlines. Both only lasted 1 season,

Jim Caviezel. I liked it because there was a clear beginning and an end. But I wasn't sure about the 2016 remake. For one thing, it was episodic and by the end of the season, i was already getting tired of finding out what changed in her life via butterfly effect, with every revelation. i think I would have given it another season, but wasn't terribly disappointed to learn they terminated the show.

ondemandkorea.com...it's only in Korean. I don't see any English subs at all. I have trouble understanding without at least a Korean sub line. These time travel type dramas are even harder to understand because the context is literally incomprehensible. without context understanding Korean is very difficult if you aren't a native speaker. too many commercials without paying the monthly fee.

the other pay site with South Korean dramas says this drama is not available in your (my) region. viki.com

It looks there are quite a few out takes with English subs on this youtube channel but they stop at episode 13.

I have to say, I'm intrigued enough with their offerings that I'm braving my way through the subtitles. But I would be hopeless without them.

i will take a look a look at them.

I don't have netflix. when i visit my daughter I'm going to watch the historical drama Mister Sunshine which is about a Korean young man who emigrates to the US and comes back to Korea as a US Marine. It isn't available on ODK or Viki. I'm really intrigued by the Korean historical dramas particularly those before 1945. I've pretty much watched them all except for this one. They haven't produced many lately.
