2. What about 5 minutes? Steakummms are steak with the meat removed, blended, frozen, and sliced...

When frying, in the brief moment between thawing and cooking, around the 30-second mark, the smell of rotten, fatty beef-like stuff becomes evident. It's unpleasant.

The smell largely disappears when fully cooked, about 30 seconds later.

YMMV.

5. It's conglomerate meat. There *could be* some filet mignon

fat, and beef by-products in there.

I bought some recently because of their excellent social media postings. What a cool company!

But, that smell when they cooked was awful. And then, the foulness gets hidden as the meat blackens.

I can take the lowliest frozen hamburger patty, cover it with cream of mushroom soup, wave it for 5 minutes and get a better result.
