Had to have a heart to heart with Duncan the golden retriever pup

I said look trooper I find it admirable the loyalty the love that you have for all of us. You have bonded with us and we with you. And man respects how dedicated you have become I get you Duncan you have heart. Just do me a favor and do not try and rescue Nana from the shower again.

Iím not pointing paws Duncan I understand nana left the door open and you decided hey time to spring into action and climb under the shower curtain and lick nana dry you were in rescue mode. Look dude you are a golden retriever not a Saint Bernard or a Newfie water rescue dog like yogi the Newfie your cousin.

2. Animals do need our input, especially young or new ones to the home.

Our newest street rescue kitty, Foggy, is probably 3 and we don't think he's ever been in a house before now so he doesn't understand house rules. Today, I put out our pills on the place mats before breakfast like usual. Well, he's discovered the open window behind the table and sits on the sill A LOT starting a couple of days ago. So when I put out the pills this am, he zeroed in on them - TOYS! 3 times he jumped on the table, which is not allowed here, and started batting the pills. He's kind of spooky with the house and people still, so just said a firm no, picked him up and placed him on the floor. After that we took our pills, so no more temptation and he was good.

This Christmas is going to be very interesting. Some of the places he likes to jump up are where I put my Christmas decorations plus there's the issue of the big tree. I am going to try arranging things so he can still sit in his usual places, but I am afraid he will go into "toy batting mode" because of course, that's his favorite thing, knocking stuff off and playing with it. We are going to try putting all the breakable ornaments at the top of the tree, and nothing near the bottom, and pray for the best! I may end up keeping the most dear ornaments off the tree this year, haven't decided yet. Hoping for the best!

6. My wife had a similar incident with a Golden pup

Bathroom door left open, she's taking a shower.
Buck goes in to see what's going on behind the curtain.
Wife gets cold-nosed unexpectedly.

Let's just say the shriek was ....piercing....
