(2,412 posts)I bought a new American flag with a peace symbol instead of the stars. We will have a little lunch party January 20th and raise the flag in a little ceremony with friends. At last!!!! I love that we Democrats are taking back the flag!!!

(61,709 posts)We've had it out for Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Independence Day, etc. But not nearly as much as we used to.

(6,936 posts)American flag that measures 5.5 ft X 9+ft. My wife got it from her dad years ago before he died. Kind of a non-standard size but DAMN it is BIG when flying on a home flagpole that's 17ft tall.

Somebody asked me, what will you put in its place, a capacitor? I said, a conductor.

(16,826 posts)Rather than flip him off. Minnesota nice, though he is still flying his TRUMP 2020 flag. He nodded and waved back.

(15 posts)Same here. I haven't flow the flag for the past 4 years. Have not been proud of my country.
But the other day , I purchased a brand spankin' new flag, that will go up on January 20th!
I'm sure my neighborhood will take notice.

(11,118 posts)I'm not prepared to say that I have not been proud of my country for the last four years but I have grieved for it.
On January 20, it will be clear the republic and democracy have survived - but is was too near a thing. A democratic republic is always one election away from dying. Trump was a wanna-be autocrat, fortunately, he wasn't good at it.
I will put the pole out on January 18, to make sure the solar light is fully charged. The flag flies on January 20. Long may she wave.

(261 posts)I bought the American flag stamps and have been sending letters out with the flag upside down. Just my little form of protest. I just mailed out my last bill payments with the flag right side up.

(4,175 posts)The #1 moron refuses to take down her 'tRump 2020 no more bullshit' sign, the other one has a 6 foot 'guns, god, trump' sign and then decorated the edges with lights and garland. These are the same 2 clowns that refused to donate to a local cancer drive for a single mom with 3 kids, and they were the ONLY 2 that didn't out of the entire 40 houses we asked funds at. You know, good people on both sides.
