The latest bubbly curiosity to roll out is unexpected yet seasonal. This past week, Pepsi announced Pepsi Cocoa Cola!
They will be launching the new flavor in January 2021. Were not the only ones who detect a certain similarity with the name of Pepsis rival. Maybe thats why the soda brand is using quotation marks around Cocoa ... Pepsi Cocoa Cola.
The new cola promises to taste like a blend of hot chocolate with a hint of marshmallow mixed with Pepsi for a soda that will appeal to both Pepsi lovers and chocolate lovers. While we cant preview the taste just yet, we cant help but wonder how Pepsi has managed to mix in rich, creamy chocolate with carbonated soda.
Once its out, it should be available at retailers that usually carry Pepsi products, but likely for only a limited timethat means youll have to move quickly for a taste.

(102,358 posts)to a heavily protected trademark would lose and lose big. I think there might be some judges who would see that they didn't opt for "chocolate" in the name so the intent was pretty obvious.

Chocolate and soda sounds disgusting.

(34,195 posts)Pepsi tried to get into the chocolate game in the 1960s. Like Patio, the company's first attempt at Diet Pepsi, this beverage suffered from its curious branding, not to mention the fact the cola giant had to ask for help from the competing Yoo-hoo to solve the problem of shelf life.

(25,552 posts)The 12 pack sat in my utility room for 2 years because I avoid sugary drinks. (Because of the sugar) But it was really good with milk and tasted like pumpkin pie. HEB still sells the novelty soda every fall.
I wonder if this will taste good when mixed with milk or even meet the light of day?
