Posit this feeling/thought in the lounge, because frankly I don't know what to do with it.

So, I’ve been having this nagging dread feeling in my stomach over the thought of Trump getting away with “all of it.” This presidency man, I feel this whole country has been traumatized, in so many ways. But if Trump(s) gets away with no real penalty, as in he’s not convicted in the Senate. I mean is our politic body broken beyond repair? I guess I’m still just in shock and thankful the damage was not worse at the capital, but it still breaks my heart just to think of it. Really lucky not one of these meal team six guys started shooting, could have been just so much worse, which is why I find it really disheartening to think Trump might not face any penalty.

I mean other than being Trump, what a miserable person he must be, I do feel sorry for him to.

2. The Senate will probably not convict him

No matter how egregious his behavior and how iron-clad the evidence is.

But that doesn't mean he will get off without consequences. Remember that he has $400 million in debt coming due soon which he personally guaranteed. This puts many of his assets in jeopardy. And the State of New York (not to mention Georgia) are hot on his trail. His life will not be easy from here on out.

His election loss is eating at him every minute of every day. He is miserable. Take whatever solace you can from that.

4. The real question is whether the DC courts try him for inciting an insurrection

They can do a lot more damage in that regard than the Senate can.

you don't get the revenge you want you get the revenge you get and you have to be satisfied with that.

Luckily, in the case of trump, he's a fuck-up. He'll harm himself. And the rubes who risked and will likely lose their freedom are turning on him.

It's probable that Trump won't ever get the justice he really deserves, although he might get some of it - he owes a lot of money, and some of his creditors might be Russian oligarchs. Maybe he'll be prosecuted for some crimes, too, or maybe not. But no matter what happens to him eventually, the fact is that he has been rejected by a large majority of voters and is no longer the president - which is obviously just eating him up. It might not be enough punishment, considering the horrendous damage he's done in so many ways, but there isn't enough punishment, really. And we can all thank God or whoever is in charge of such things that we're not him. Being Trump must be hell on earth.

The one thing that gives me hope, Trumps reality is untenable, eventually truth wins, always. Reality has a way of biting you in the ass.

But in this case, I am going to channel Trump: But I waaaannntt it to be. I want, I want I want. It's way past time for him to pay the piper. He has damaged everyone or thing he has touched and he smirked as he walked away from the carnage he has caused. Enough.

8. If trump can't or won't be held accountable for inciting the riot of 1/6/21, then let the civil law

suits start up (or go ahead and do at the same time). His words helped incite the violence. I think in a civil lawsuit, the standards might be less rigid and thus more likely to stick.

for riot of 1/6/21..but Donald Trump will pay. It will cost him a whole lot to defend himself, and the
name Trump is total sh*t. He may not get any revenue from the name. We will see.

11. Thank you and GOOD! Let there be no rest, no peace for trump and his thugs. None.

I hope that the day of 1/6/21 is burned in all Americans' minds, the day when trump thugs and some republicans tried to dismantle our constitutionally mandated government and install their own, as well as administer their own brand of justice via the conveniently installed gallows to hang Pence and others.

I know it's wrong, but I'd like to see how all of these thugs would feel being marched up to that gallows, and efforts be made to hang them, all without being charged w/ a crime, no legal representation present, found guilty, and then hung.

God, where did these thugs come from? Where on god's earth (and in America too) did they get such hatred, to do such things to their fellow Americans? Maybe all of these that participated in the riot of 1/6/21 should lose their citizenship too.
