I think the second COVID-19 vaccine dose is kicking my ass.

Iím aching all over and Iíve got chills.

I didnít feel this way after the first dose. I may also have overdone it at work, too.

I bragged that I could Ďtanker-toughí my way through it. Thatís what I get for showing off...

2. Treat yourself to some warm coffee and a movie on the TV

Maybe a nap.

And congratulations on being inoculated.

7. I'm two cups in, and finished two episodes of "Valley Of Tears."

Lot of tank action and hot Israeli women in Army uniforms.

It will do...

3. The second shot kicked my butt as well

I had muscle and joint aches and a fever over 102. It was awful for about 24h and then, like flipping a light switch, it was all gone.

Hope you're feeling better soon!

4. There are reports of the second dose producing stronger symptoms

It should ease after a day or so. Sometimes fatigue lingers longer.

6. It's your immune system doing it's thing.

It thinks itís an attack by a actual SARS virus.

Just kick back and rest, as if I were a a real bug.

9. Yeah, I know.

I say the same thing to my patients.

Iíve just never had a symptomatic inflammatory response to a vaccine before.

This way, Iíll be better prepared to counsel my patients when we start general vaccination...

10. My worst reaction so far was to the H1N1 vaccine in 2010.

Worse than the first shot of Moderna this last Tuesday. Iíll find out on March 2nd if that becomes my all time worst.

Yup, you will be able to walk a mile in their moccasins, so to speak.

11. Same here with my partner

The second dose of Moderna caused a fever, body aches, and tiredness the following day. The fever resolved quickly with a dose of Tylenol and didn't return. The other symptoms gradually resolved over the next few days.

13. Feel better!

Not happy about your reaction but I like the way you say it can help you when counseling your patients.

Take care!

I've got my second Moderna injection in a few days.

17. The Moderna.

The first dose only caused a raised, warm, itchy welt about a week later.

I'm thrashed twenty-four hours after the second dose. I've cancelled weekend plans and am spending the day in my bathrobe recovering...

22. Yeah, I've heard other complaints about the second Moderna dose.

But considering the possible alternative, I'm going to try to keep a positive attitude, whatever the side effects may be. Best of luck to you in getting better.

23. Thank you.

Yeah, the alternative is unacceptable. This is a small price to pay to acquire an immunity to so devastating a disease.

18. Haven't had mine yet, but expect that I will not feel well..long history of untoward effects from

vaccines, as do several of my family members.

A little worried, but my daughterís father is now in a medically induced coma from covid and isnít going to survive. Iíll deal with it!!

19. My SIL, a nurse who runs a free clinic, had the same reaction. Had flu like symptoms for two days

That were pretty miserable and also a very sore arm. Third day was not bad, maybe a little more fatigued than usual. Fourth day, back to normal.

20. Kicked mine, too, Aristus.

I was febrile, achy, and had a terrible headache for three days. I missed four days of work. No regrets, though; I'd do it again. I tell ya, popsicles, and very cold Powerade tasted so good. Also, Benadryl helped me sleep through it.

My oldest son had his second yesterday and then went to work at the hospital today for a 12-hour shift. He just texted me that he felt terrible. I told him last night to call-in but he didn't listen to his mother, of course.

Get rest!
