It was a major struggle to get the first package open which then allowed me to use the snips to open the second package much more easily.

9. Every couple contemplating marriage should first have to assemble furniture together

I've thought for years that the Catholic Church should replace pre-Cana with the following exercise:

1) Find some schools/nuns/elderly/missionaries/poor/disabled people who need some tables, chairs, and bookcases. Buy assemble it yourself furniture using the registration fees.

2) Have all of the young 20something couples come to these homes/missions/schools, etc. one fine Saturday morning.

3) Working in teams, have them assemble the furniture. Ikea works best, as the directions may be in pictograms or in various European languages. Souder furniture will work in a pinch.

4) Sit back and enjoy the show.
