My sis earlier asked me what I thought of Katie’s hosting. I said I thought she was doing a good job.

Sis said she didn’t like her. She said “some people” are saying that Jeopardy is being “too political” inviting hosts such as Katie Couric and Anderson Cooper and that they won’t watch the show when those people do the hosting. I said, how having Katie Couric host being too political? She answered that It turns some people off when they invite a host with “certain political beliefs”. I said, Katie has not offered up any of her own political beliefs on the show, and as a host she should not. And that anyone who thinks just letting her emcee is being “too political”, they are the one with the problem who is “seeing politics behind every tree” and has nothing to do,with the host. She said “I’m just telling you what I’ve been reading.”

Sheesh ... we’re supposed to vet the political leanings of every single person on TV now? Methinks these “people” she’s talking about are a goddam bunch of snowflakes.

probably are not smart enough to answer the questions anyhow.

I am enjoying the change of pace myself.

BTW my understanding that despite being Canadian, Trebek was quite conservative.
