(34,136 posts)When we go to Five Guys. Even then, there are left over fires, usually. Since I only got out to eat maybe once a month in normal years, we don't go to Five Guys very often.

(7,781 posts)I happen to prefer them unsalted, but whatever. If you ask for them that way, they can't give you the salted ones that have been sitting around, and have to give you some from the next batch. Like them salty? Don't be lazy, salt 'em yourself.

(205,631 posts)They were good enough to eat without ketchup, which was what I was used to - guess they were how Arthur Treacher liked them.

(9,581 posts)but I have to tell you that I had the BEST burger ever from Chili's Bar and Grill yesterday. It was the mushroom and swiss "big mouth" burger (charcoal grilled) with sauteed onions and extra mushrooms, on a bun with garlic aioli, lettuce and tomato - topped off with two thick slices of applewood bacon. OMFG. I don't know how the fries were, because I was too full to eat them.
Highly recommend this burger, though.
