https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/apr/26/turkmenistan-dedicates-holiday-to-enormous-national-dog-breedTurkmenistan marked a new holiday on Sunday dedicated to its national and very large Alabai dog breed, to which its longtime leader has already erected a gilded monument and written an ode.
I am sure Turkmenistan is a horrible country in some way I am ignorant, but I can't hate a country that like its puppies.

Like GPs and Anatolian Shepherds. Herd guardings look so noble.

Interesting that such a large breed would be livestock herders originally, instead of guardians. I will look them up.
The Turkmenistan Akhal-Teke breed of horse is quite beautiful as well. They look metalic.

But it is worth pointing out that Turkmenistan is ruled by a brutal and quite insane dictator who took power after being the previous president's dentist.
