Yay, I'm flying again! Thank you Moderna!
Im now a month past my second shot, so I got brave and flew to see familynot just my first time flying post pandemic, but my first experience with crowds post pandemic.
I was generally pleased by the way airlines and airports handled COVID restrictionslots of sanitizing, distancing, signage, and reminders to wear masks correctly. My airline left middle seats empty.
People, on the other hand, were complete idiots. Not all of them, of course, but probably 10% were clueless. Many seemed to have no idea what a mask was for or how to wear it correctly. It wasnt just the nose peeks and chin diapers, but also taking off masks to talk on a phone or to eat while walking through the concourse. On my last flight, they made an announcement three times telling people not to lower their masks to talk to a flight attendant. Many people were getting too close for comfortespecially on those transport trains in Atlanta and while boarding or leaving a plane.
All in all, I felt relatively safe, but would never do it unless vaccinated.
