Am I the only one who detests Bluetooth?

Dropped signal. Poor sound quality. Inability to pair reliably.

I get the convenience, but the frustration factor far outweighs the “convenience” of Bluetooth.

3. Stock up on non Bluetooth headphones then.

I’m trying to find a good old fashioned pair of true “wireless” but non bt headphones.

Rare creatures, if you don’t want to pay through the nose for the “audiophile” idiocy.

2. Not the same experience... I love it...

I've used it on many devices since it was invented... Has always been reliable for me as long as you are in range.

HOWEVER... Now, I use Apple devices only, and they make the experience simple and really enjoyable. I've tried to pair third party bluetooth things (Bose speakers) with my Apple devices, and eventually gave up.

4. Except for the head unit on my stereo, it's iPad, or iPod I'm using.

I guess I just have really horrible luck with tech.

Repeated experiences, multiple/different devices.

But I’m about fed up with apple too.

5. Devices interfere with one another...

If I were you... I'd shut bluetooth on all devices...

Then restart them one by one... The most important to you at first... See how that goes.

When I say shut off bluetooth... I also would shut off Wi-Fi on everthing... Even on your computer... Then restart Wi-Fi on you computer. (or main device)... And gradually add the bluetooth things you need. Computer and devices get confused, literally... Bluetooth and Wi-Fi interfere with each other if they are on the same frequency channel.

6. Yes that's good advice, and I have tried it too.

Because the idea of Bluetooth (I’m a musician) is so convenient, I really wish it worked better for me.

Starting to think I’m a Harry Dresden. Might should take up wizardry.

7. Use Bluetooth all the time...

Little glitchy sometimes but mostly reliable. When I was having some troubles with my internet connection I called my provider (Spectrum) the rep I talked to said it’s a good idea to reboot your modem once a month.

I was mildly taken aback and said something like “Oh really never heard of that as a “maintenance” thing”. Then without a prompt he started listing all that that simple action could possibly correct. Bluetooth connection was one in the list.

It fixed my little problem...not Bluetooth... so once a month it gets done ...have had no problems since.

Now that I said that...

8. Bluetooth 5 is OK. I just hate being in discovery mode and other people's BT devices try to connect.

.

I have WIN10 Pro and I can't find a way to specifically ignore certain devices, creating a 'Blocked List'.

Does anyone know how to keep BT discovery on, yet block other people's speakers and headphones from discovery?

.

9. The worst is gps in cars

The bluetooth tries to connect to the car radio speakers and does so poorly.

You get audio for a while, but them while driving the audio cuts out. Drove me nuts getting into a rental car, trying to get to highway and then having audio cut out just as i needed.

Iphone.

Turn off Bluetooth and no trouble since. Took several trips to figure that out.

14. I love pulling into the garage,

And suddenly I’m having the conversation on the car speakers with whomever my wife was speaking to in the house.

Lucky guy that I am, these conversations never cause me heartburn.

10. I have no trouble with BT.

Everything pairs automatically on my galaxy phone.

13. Works fine for me.

I have a Bluetooth headset - it doesn't drop the signal until I move a considerable distance from the source.

15. Seems like we've been beta testing it for years now.

The dumbest thing for me so far is that my Amazon tablet will pair with anything except my Apple Air Pods Pro. I mean, come on guys. If you make me choose between Apple and Amazon devices, there’s really only one way to go. And that’s the way I went. Now my Amazon tablet is barely more than a reader. Never leaves my room. (Barely leaves my bathroom...lol.)

16. Ooh, you brought up the other one I love to hate

Like when Samsung goes to war with apple. Now the next firmware update makes everything prickly to try to work together.

Bastages!
